Description
Pioneer or Guards Artilleryman's feldgrau Mutze. Mütze M1907 in early feldgrau cloth, received at KBAG in 1914, size 55. Black cloth headband and scarlet piping. Some moth holes to front and right rear. Hand-sewn white cotton lining, securely fastened at back of headdress. Sewn troop roundels with intermediate felts. Wear from use, patina. Feldgrau Mütze of a Guard Pioneer or Guard Artillery soldier. Early Model 1907 feldgrau cloth Mütze, accepted at KBAG in 1914, size 55. Black cloth band with scarlet piping. A few moth holes at the front and rear right side. White cotton lining hand sewn and firmly attached inside the crown. Sewn enlisted cockades with their intermediate felt backing. Service wear and patina.
