Description
English cavalry troop sabre model 1908. Checkered handle, iron mount, clamshell guard, heavily worn and cleaned. Fine Wilkinson flatback blade, dated 1915. Sheet metal scabbard with two suspension rings. With its tan leather sword rest which doubles as an iron pocket. The small strap is broken but present. Wear from use, patina. British Pattern 1908 cavalry trooper's sword with horseshoe pouch. Checkered grip, iron hilt and bowl guard heavily worn and cleaned. Fine blade with flat spine and fuller by Wilkinson dated 1915. Steel scabbard with two suspension rings. Complete with its tan leather sword carrier serving as a horseshoe pouch. The small retaining strap is broken but present. Service wear and patina.
