Platterhof coffee dish. In silver-plated metal. Marked Gebrüder Hepp Pforzheim. Mauritia Mayer, alias Judith Platter, heroine of the 1891 novel Two People by Richard Voss, whose mountain farm stood on the site of the Platterhof . In traditional Bavarian costume carrying a flower, against a background of the Watzmann mountains, rounded ground with five clumps of three-sprig grass, a kind of oval halo around the upper part of the figure surrounded by horizontal lines, all in an oval surmounted by a three-leaf plant element. Length 29.2 cm. Some wear and patina. Condition II+. Platterhof coffee plate. Silver-plated metal construction. Marked Gebrüder Hepp Pforzheim.
