Description
A sturdy flintlock pistol for self-defence, with two large-calibre cylindrical barrels made of polished white steel (re-polished), 13 mm calibre, cast bronze frame bearing engravings on its sides; on the right, a trophy of arms with the British flag; on the left, the same motif with a cartouche bearing the marking ‘Welch & Keene’; the receiver bears the proof marks on its underside. A sturdy lever on the left, operating a cylindrical steel roller, allows the user to select one shot after the other in succession. Flat swan-neck trigger, slide safety, fine round stock in dark walnut, fully checkered except for the butt plate, which features a right-angled checkering pattern. Mechanism in working order.
