1822-model Cavalry Officer’s sabre from the Royal Manufactory of Klingenthal, November 1822, with a curved blade featuring a fuller and blood groove, a chiselled gilded bronze hilt bearing the Manceaux hallmark from Paris, a short-tailed pommel adorned with a laurel wreath, the main guard branch dividing into three ‘S’-shaped arched strands joining the crossguard on the right, filigree-carved wooden tang, in its scabbard with a strap also signed ‘Manceaux, Paris’.
