Regimental cavalry flintlock pistol, Model 1763/66, flat lock plate bearing the inscription ‘Manufacture Royale de Saint Etienne’ and the crowned ‘HB’ hallmark, flat-shouldered hammer, faceted pan, round barrel dated 1969 (1769), hallmark featuring a key and a crown, breech block marked ‘M 1763’, all fittings in brass, varnished walnut stock, a crack where the lock plate meets the stock (lower section), mechanism in working order, with its cleaning rod. Weapon has been lightly restored.
