A collection of Kabyle ceramics Djidjeli jug. Algeria, Maritime Kabylia, early 20th century. A jug with a flared neck and an ovoid body with two handles. It is decorated with manganese paint from the shoulder to the lip on a cream slip. Dim. 42 x 35 cm. Comparable work : Musée du Quai Branly inventory number: 74.1962.0.493 Bowl from the Ouadhias Djurdjura tribe. Algeria, Kabylia, 19th century Dish with small handle, decorated with black and red geometric decoration on brown slip, under a fine glaze. Dim. 23 cm. Calabash, North Africa, 20th century Gourd-shaped ceramic, decorated with brown serpentine highlights on a white slip. Dim. 28 x 13 cm. This gourd is surprising for its decorative technique and the absence the absence of a handle which is usually used to draw water or milk from a larger a larger container.
