Two profiles: one of a woman wearing a tiara, the other a bust facing left of an Imperial General,
perhaps depicting Pauline Bonaparte and her husband, General Charles Victoire Emmanuel Leclerc (1772–1802).
A pair of miniatures on ivory, each signed ‘C. Charly’
Visible diameter, each: 6 cm
Medaillon frames in a design imitating the appearance of tortoiseshell; on the reverse, a central silver inlay with a floral motif.
Each frame, diameter 8 cm.
The artist C. Charly is known for a number of miniatures in private collections, finely executed in the early 20th century.
