A set comprising two 18th-century playing card decks in their unopened original packaging, containing – like the other decks in this sale – the 12 face cards of a standard French portrait deck. 32/32 cards for both decks, Both decks are in their original packaging and bear a coat of arms featuring a lion and three fleurs-de-lis surmounted by a crown. Woodcut engraving enhanced with colour. 8.4 x 5.5 cm. Formerly in the collection of Dr Joseph FLANDRIN.
