BRUNEL-ROCQUE, Léon. 1822–1883. Portrait of a man wearing a bow tie and the bar of the Legion of Honour (Presumed to be a self-portrait). Oil on original canvas. Signed top right and dated 1860. H. 46 – W. 38 cm. The portrait may be that of the artist, based on a photographic note on the reverse of the original frame accompanying the work: No. 6 Portrait of the artist 3460. Léon - Brunel - Rocque is the artist behind the altarpiece in the Chapel of Saint Cecilia, *The Marriage of the Virgin* (1858), in the Church of Saint Eustache in Paris.
