A Napoleon III-era cabinet with a curved cornice decorated with cassolettes, opening via two doors with tortoiseshell veneer (Eretmochelys imbricata) and Boulle-style inlays, resting on four gilded bronze feet. (Base missing) France, second half of the 19th century Height: 70, Length: 76, Depth: 26.5 cm Object composed wholly or partly of material derived from a species listed in Annex I/A of CITES/EU (Eretmochelys imbricata), harvested and worked before 1975, meeting the definition of a ‘pre-Convention antique’ in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 865/2006, Article 2(w), implementing Regulation (EC) No 338/97, Article 7(3). Transport within the European Union is authorised upon presentation of an expert report confirming the date and origin of the object.
