A handsome and important cabinet in moulded blackened wood and inlaid brass with an interlacing motif, the projecting front opening into a central door featuring a niche set in an architectural frame with an ormolu female figure, on each side a bay of four drawers, the entire front veneered in red tortoiseshell, extensive ormolu fittings, an openwork gallery with a motif of fleurons and fire pots, key escutcheons with figures, the whole resting on six "claw & bowl" feet.
