CHINA, Kangxi period, 18th century
A rare pair of porcelain jars, with curved bases, bulging sides topped by short necks, flanked by handles in the shape of pigs' heads in high relief. All the jars are covered with an intense blue glaze known as "sacrificial blue". The bases are left unglazed.
