Description
CHINA, Ming dynasty, 17th century Important gilded wood sculpture of Weituo Pusa The patron deity is depicted in his conquering form, his two feet firmly planted on a quadrangular base carved with clouds from which dragons spring. A holding element, added later, secures the sculpture to its base.
