Description
Pair of antique style moulded, carved, painted and gilded wood sheaths. The belt is richly decorated with a frieze of canals, oak leaves, oves, rows of pearls and filleted and asparagus fluting. The tripod base is decorated with acanthus leaves, three hocks and three gules of lions supporting garlands of flowers. The plinth base with recessed sides, centred on a pomegranate and bordered by a frieze of rais de cœur, rests on three small leafy ball feet. The circular top is in green antico marble.
