A small chest of drawers with a curved front, finished in a veneer of veined walnut and plum wood, featuring three drawers with concealed runners. The central walnut-veneered top is bordered by a transverse strip of plum wood, framed by plum wood at 45-degree angles. Solid corbin-style front; the sides are veneered in the same manner. It rests on a moulded top, stained black, supported by four turned ball feet. Attractive chiselled brass fittings; fine original locks; the key is missing. German craftsmanship. Early 18th century. Height: 72.5 cm. Width: 92 cm. Depth: 57 cm. Small cracks along the edge of the top, which has been sun-bleached on part of the left-hand side.
