Depicting a porcelain planter filled with wannianqing (Japanese rhododendron) resting on a red lacquered stand, accompanied by three peonies at its base, signed Xue Kun (born 1884), with the artist’s seals and a poem in the upper section, a large ‘Nei Ting Gong Feng’ seal in the centre of the upper section, and two further seals at the bottom right and left, framed under glass.
