Description
ISIGNY (1839–1845). A pair of large Medici-style vases with a white ground, decorated with pagodas and Chinese motifs. The scalloped upper rim, set against a cream background, is decorated with palmettes (one of which has been reattached and there is a firing flaw). The waistband is adorned with cabochons and gilded foliage-decorated handles. A fluted pedestal resting on a base with a blue ground and white floral medallions, supported by four feet with palmette motifs. Height: 48.5 cm. Width: 26 cm. Minor damage to the upper rim of the pedestal.
