MARSEILLE, Manufacture de FAUCHIER, 18th century, formerly attributed to MONTPELLIER. Earthenware dish with lid, decorated in blue monochrome under the handle in a phylactery with the pharmaceutical inscription "S. de. Arthemis" surrounded by foliage and fruit. The handle is decorated with the Franciscan emblem and foliage. Circa 1736. H. 33 cm. (lid broken and reglued, chips, edge chips).
