Édouard Léon Louis Warschawsky known as Edy-Legrand, born in Bordeaux on 24 July 1892 and died in Bonnieux on 2 September 1970, was a French illustrator born in 1892 and active in the 20th century, trained in the decorative arts and fine arts.
From the early 1920s, he exhibited at the Salon d'Automne, of which he was a member, the Salon des Indépendants and the Société des Artistes Décorateurs.
He took part in the Art Institute of Chicago's first universal exhibition of engraved works in 1932, where he represented France. Exhibited alongside Picasso, Matisse and Derain, he was the only artist to receive an honourable mention.
He then moved to Rabat, Morocco. He lived there for about twenty years, where he became very close to Jacques Majorelle.
