Description
TWO BODY CABINET, LANGUEDOC, LATE 16th CENTURY
in moulded and carved walnut. It opens with four leaves and two drawers in the waist. The upper leaves are carved in bas-relief with leaning sphinxes and cherubs' heads, the lower leaves with foliage, foliage and masks. The jambs are adorned with falling garlands. The broken pediment adorned with griffins, sphinxes and a Moorish warrior in the centre.
