Description
CABINET, ANTWERP, 17th CENTURY in rosewood, olive wood, rosewood, tortoiseshell, blackened wood and bone veneer, inlaid on the sides with geometric reserves and on the front with filleted reserves decorated with curved plaques and hearts. It opens with ten drawers with engine-turned edges, two drawers in the waistband and two leaves revealing a theatre with a diamond-shaped floor and a background of mirrors. It is topped by a pediment with a gadroon motif echoing the outline of the base. It stands on a later turned and carved wooden base. (Repainted front decoration, a few accidents, missing parts and restorations). A 17TH CENTURY ANTWERP CABINET CABINET : 83 X 118,5 X 44 CM - 32,7 X 46,7 X 17 IN.
