Description
PAIR OF SALON TABLES, late 19th CENTURY
Rectangular, in mahogany veneer and gilt bronze. The waist is decorated with moulded and pearled reserves, and the front features a central projection decorated with a floral interlace with falling foliage. The Corinthian column jambs on a baluster base are joined by a brace shelf. The legs are tapered at the top and have asparagus-studded channels. The Egyptian porphyry top is encircled by an openwork gallery like the spacer.
