Description
A carved walnut chest of drawers opening to reveal two large drawers, decorated with falls, aprons and applique motifs evoking ormolu decoration, resting on arched legs; ormolu handles and key escutcheons; red Flanders marble top. Attributed to Pierre Hache (1703-1773). Grenoble, Louis XV period. H. 90 cm, W. 142 cm, D. 63 cm. Several pieces of furniture with similar characteristics, stamped by Pierre Hache are listed, in particular a chest of drawers illustrated in P et F Rouge, Le génie des Hache, Dijon, 2005, p.274.
