A lemongrass and amaranth flap desk, opening to a drawer decorated with a Greek frieze, a lower leaf simulating three drawers and a flap revealing four drawers and a large compartment with a shelf, framed with brass and amaranth strips, the Turquin blue marble top with a gallery resting on a rounded upright with copper fluting resting on tapered legs.
Stamped by Charles Joseph Lemarchand, cabinetmaker received master in 1789.
