In an article published in *Oude Holland* in 1996, Mr Roetlisberger proposes attributing these landscapes to
another Abraham Blommaert, a landscape painter from Middelburg, born c. 1626 – died after 1675. The RKD states
that he was a member of the Guild of Saint Luke in Middelburg between 1657 and 1683, and subsequently of the Amsterdam Guild in 1683.
