Jean-Baptiste PATER (Valenciennes 1695- Paris 1736) Full-length portrait of an elegant woman seen from the back, verso: proof of a study for M. de Pourceaugnac Sanguine 205 x 122 mm. Numbered lower left "125 Insolate in the centre of the drawing, small strip of paper added at the bottom Numbered lower left "125 Old label on verso Provenance: Former Groult collection, numbered lower left "125" from the Groult album Other drawings with the same numbering are in the Musée du Louvre. The drawing for the reverse proof is in the Metropolitan Museum in New York (inv.2000.91.2).
