Great and fine Isfahan Iran Wool and silk Shah era Circa 1965 Size 224 x 149 cm High-quality silky lambswool velvet, silk-encrusted flowers on cotton or silk bases Slightly damaged at the corners Density approx. 8/9000 knots per dm². Remarkable finesse . Beautiful graphics (no central medallion, sought-after decorative motifs). Ivory field decorated with scrolls of fine twisted crenellated stems in the form of finely drawn rings inlaid with polychrome flowering palmettes and fine stylised leaves framing a composition of multicoloured star-shaped flowers in the form of a stylised diamond. Triple borders, the main one with motifs reminiscent of the central field.
