Description
A rosewood and brass veneered travel set with scrolled corners and an SR monogram surmounted by a Ducal crown.
When open, it reveals a removable mirror, a set of bottles, boxes and inkwells in cut crystal and silver, and a number of steel and tortoiseshell utensils such as a penholder, stamp holder, boot hook, shoehorn, manicure items, hair clippers, scissors, awl, corkscrew ....., pouches and cases, cassettes, letter holders, etc.
Most of the steel items are engraved "AUCOC", one blade engraved "Aucoc Breveté du Roi" (Louis-Philippe).
The lock plate is engraved "AUCOC AINÉ A PARIS".
