Gilt bronze trim.
Marble top encircled by a spout.
Circa 1950, stamped with a fleur-de-lys "Chardonnay".
A Parisian cabinetmaker, Chardonnay was recently rehabilitated in Christopher Payne's seminal book Paris, La Quintessence du meuble au XIXe siècle, Paris: Ed. Monelle-Hayot, 2018, p.281.
