Wladimir de Terlikowski (Wlodzimierz Terlikowski) was a Polish painter who came from a family of Polish nobility from the Warsaw region. He discovered the world of art through his many travels in France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Switzerland and North Africa. A portrait and landscape painter, he painted Venice tirelessly, exhibiting his work at the Bernheim and Charpentier galleries in Paris. He exhibited at the Salon d'Automne in 1912, 1913 and 1919.
He was made a knight of the Légion d'honneur in 1920. He painted portraits of contemporaries such as Léonard Foujita, Antoine Bourdelle and Stacia Napierkowska. The bankers David David-Weill, Regent of the Banque de France, and Henri Nouvion, Director and General Manager of the Banque de l'Afrique occidentale, gave Wladimir de Terlikowski their financial support throughout his life.
