Description
Yamaha YFZ 350 Banshee - 2003 Frame number: 3GG-055724 Engine number: 3GG-263731 Liquid-cooled 347cc two-cylinder 2-stroke engine with valve intake and 6-speed gearbox. Built from 1987 onwards by the brand with the tuning forks, the Banshee is a true icon of cross-country terrain and the quintessential sports quad. It shares its powerful 2-stroke twin-cylinder engine with the RZ350. A sensational machine with an explosive temperament, its sturdiness and off-road ability even allowed it to take part in rally-raids such as the Paris-Dakar in 2000, with French rider Eric Vigouroux at its wheel and Czech rider Josef Machá?ek. This fully restored and customised example, 'towards infinity and beyond', required around 75 hours of work by mechanic and Youtuber Masco, including sandblasting and powder coating of the main parts of the chassis (original frame number preserved under the paintwork), as well as replacement of all the bearings, reinforced ball joints, all bearings, reinforced ball joints, new steering bars and front lower wishbones, new front and rear shock absorbers, new handlebars and bridges, new front brake master cylinder, new aviation hoses, new fairing kit, fully customised MX link deco kit, tailor-made spoiler, customised saddle and headlight covers made by a Compagnon du Devoir saddler. The engine has also been restored, with new cylinders and pistons, all new seals, renovated and anodised cylinder head, new clutch, two new Vforce 4 valve boxes, two new Stage 6 R/T 30mm carburettors, new airbox and filter, and restored exhaust pipes with new springs. The vehicle is presented in excellent condition, it has been completely dismantled to be fully restored, it is accompanied by a file of invoices corresponding to the new parts. The vehicle does not have a registration certificate and is not intended for use on public roads.
