GEORGES JOUVE (1910-1964) "Free form" model designed around [1955-58]. Rare biomorphic diabolo lamp base. Black glazed ceramic proof. The cylindrical brass shaft has a through hole at the top (unsealed at the bottom). Circa 1950. Signed JOUVE and monogrammed A. P. (with interlaced letters) for Apollon, Alpha mark on reverse. Height of ceramic alone: 28 cm Height with brass shaft (without socket): 36 cm Chips around the brass stem, scattered paint splashes.
