17th CENTURY CABINET, SPANISH OR SOUTHERN ITALIAN WORK
In ebony, blackened wood, rosewood veneer, tortoiseshell inlays and ivory fillets, ormolu and gilt brass ornamentation, the architectural front surmounted by an openwork balustrade and opening with eight drawers around a central leaf concealing five interior drawers, the sides fitted with wrought iron handles, the claw feet enclosing a flattened ball, fitted with a gilt brass base, modern work ; minor damage and missing parts, the four front legs are of later date.
