COMPOSITE PORCELAIN SERVING PART FROM TOURNAI AND ARRAS FROM THE EIGHTEENTH AND EARLY EIGHTEENTH CENTURIES Various marks in blue Of various shapes and with various blue and white decorations known as "Ronda", comprising : - 2 small glass coolers (very small chips to one heel), - 2 double spout sauce boats and - 2 trays (1 tray with a restored chip), - 3 oval dishes (several sizes, 1 with a chip), - 1 oval dish, - 1 square compote dish, - 12 soup plates (1 with chips), - 20 plates (2 restored, 2 shocked, 2 chipped), - 18 dessert plates, - 1 sugar bowl and its lid (small crack at the base), - 5 coffee cups and 5 saucers (1 saucer with a small chip at the heel); small chips, chips; A fine earthenware plate from the 19th century with similar decoration; and a Tournai porcelain plate from the early 19th century decorated with the initial W surmounted by a crown for William I, with a Greek frieze on the rim. L. (largest oval plate): 34.5 cm (13 ½ in.) (74) A part composite Tournai and Arras porcelain service, 18th and 19th century, together with a 19th century creamware plate with a similar decoration and a Tournai armorial porcelain plate, early 19th century The plate with the initial of William I (1772-1843), King of the Netherlands in 1815, is thought to have been made for the army officers' mess.
