SET OF NINE MONTED PLAQUES, 17th AND 18th CENTURY ITALIAN WORK
In marquetry of hard stones and polychrome marbles, comprising a pair of paesina plaques, three medallions, two of which are decorated with architecture and one with a bouquet of flowers, a medallion decorated with a dog, three decorated with birds perched among branches, two of which are on a black marble background and one with lapis lazuli, on a walnut background surrounded by a carved and gilded wood frieze, and a later ebony frame.
