AUTOMATED BIRD, SECOND HALF OF THE 19th CENTURY By Blaise Bontems Naturalized songbird perched atop a rubber Ficus plant, in an Old Paris planter; one foot of the planter glued back; three-position control: on, off and intermittent operation. Bontems mark inscribed in the mechanism plate D. (pot cover): 21 cm (8 ¼ in.) H. (total): 60 cm (23 ½ in.)
