LARGE LOUIS XVI PERIOD CYLINDER DESK Stamped by Adam Weisweiler and Jean Wendelin Weber In mahogany and speckled mahogany veneer decorated on all sides, with chased and gilded bronze ornamentation, veined white marble top surrounded by an openwork balustrade, the top opening with three drawers, the cylinder revealing a leather-covered writing case, four drawers and three compartments, the waist opening with four drawers, one of which has a removable compartment revealing a secret chest, two sliding side shelves, the uprights rounded, the tapered legs with flutes filleted with asparagus stems, stamped A.WEISWEILER under the front crosspiece and J.V.WEBER twice under the rear crosspiece.
