PAIR OF 18th CENTURY NIDERVILLER FAIENCE VESSELS, DATED 1774
Of ovoid form on a pedestal, with two handles raised in the Greek style and side handles in the form of a ring with a black background, decorated in grisaille on a faux-wood background with landscapes on trompe l'oeil engravings bearing the inscriptions: a niderviller 1774 and monogrammed JD for Joseph Deutsch, the shoulder supported by a band decorated with ovals and fleurons on a blue background; restorations to the rings.
