Large KHNAJAR with a curved blade; the hilt is made of light celadon jade with milky hues, finely carved at the tip to depict a bird’s head with a curved beak resting on a floral bud, and adorned with foliage motifs inlaid with gold thread, enhanced by red and green cloisonné enamels, the slightly curved blade of damascene steel with a rippling patina, engraved at its centre with a gold damascened mandorla containing a calligraphic inscription in Nasta’liq script bearing the name of the prophet Ya Ali.
