INDO-PERSIAN work. Mughal-style horse-headed khanjar, with a celadon jade hilt in pale green shades, carved with a horse’s head with an arched neck; the eyes are highlighted by ruby-like red cabochons set in gilded metal fillets. Curved blade of forged Damascus steel with a grey patina; the widely flared hilt is adorned with a symmetrical floral design composed of red cabochons of various shapes set in gilded fillets. The pommel is adorned with two cartouches finely chiselled with scrollwork and foliage. L. 45 cm
