FIRST FRENCH EDITION of this voyage translated from Italian by Carlo
Amoretti, published one year after the first edition. The manuscript of this account by
by one of Magellan's companions had just been found in the Ambrosian Library in
library in Milan.
Nine engraved plates including two folded maps & FOUR AQUARELLES.
The work is "[...] followed by an extract from the Traité de Navigation by the same author; and a Notice sur le chevalier Martin Behaim, avec la description de son Globe Terrestre. pp. 233 to 253 contain the vocabulary "brésilien",
"Patagonian" and "South Sea Islands".
