CHINA, Ming Dynasty
Large bronze figure with brown patina, representing a standing Guanyin on a base formed by a double lotus flower. The deity is shown with her hands in a vitarkamudra position, wearing a large monastic robe adorned with numerous jewels, with two flowering stems on either side of her shoulders. Her face looks serene, her eyes half-closed, her mouth faintly smiling. The head is adorned with an elaborate tiara holding a libation vase.
