SINO-TIBET, 20th century
Gilded lacquered bronze subject representing a standing Buddha, his right hand raised to chest height in a gesture of absence of fear (abhaya mudra), while his left hand is lowered to his sides. He is dressed in a monastic robe, the borders of which are incised with geometric and floral motifs, and is wearing several pieces of jewellery. The face looks serene, the eyes half-closed, the hair treated in thick locks, some of which fall to the shoulders, others styled in a high bun. Resting on an adapted base.
