A leading figure in 20th-century Scandinavian design, Hans-Agne Jakobsson (1919–2009) is renowned for his innovative work with light. Trained in cabinetmaking and later in architecture, he founded his own design studio in Sweden in 1951 and developed a formal language characterised by elegant lines, high-quality materials and the creation of warm, inviting lighting atmospheres. His light fittings, now highly sought-after, are among the most iconic creations of post-war Nordic design. This set of three Flora lamps perfectly illustrates Hans-Agne Jakobsson’s approach. Crafted from perforated brass, they cast a soft light that filters through the metal, creating a delicate interplay of shadows and reflections.
