Carl-Harry Stålhane (Åmål, 1920 – 1990) is the undisputed master of post-war Swedish ceramic design. For over two decades at the Rörstrand factory, he developed glazes of exceptional chromatic richness (hare’s fur, etc.) and forms that defined the aesthetic of modern Nordic ceramics. These vases reveal the full depth of Stålhane’s hare fur glazes. His pieces are held at the Nationalmuseum in Stockholm and in numerous European museum collections. A cohesive set of three pieces by this great ceramist.
