Description
Pair of Swedish wall lights Copper and opal glass Date of manufacture: 1950s Condition: very good overall condition, beautiful patina on the copper consistent with its age, in working order at the time of cataloguing An elegant pair of Scandinavian wall lights characterised by an architectural silhouette combining a conical opal glass shade with a patinated copper cap. The geometric simplicity of their design and the quality of the materials perfectly illustrate the Nordic aesthetic of the 1950s, where functionality and formal refinement are combined with understated elegance. The opal glass diffuses a soft, even light, whilst the copper, having developed a beautiful patina over time, lends warmth and character to the whole. These wall lights are equally suited to a modernist interior as to a contemporary décor.
