Exploring ceramics as a discipline in its own right that encompasses design, sculpture and painting, this piece belongs to a collection of objects where the strength of the forms interacts with fragility, balance and colour.
Rosa Cortiella:
Graduate in ceramics and sculpture. Professional ceramicist since 1988. Interested in formal and artistic experimentation within the ceramic medium. Her multidisciplinary training enables her to move from sculpture to product development, or to research into colour. For many years, her work has focused on the design and production of limited editions, mainly in the field of haute cuisine. She also served as an exhibition curator for three years at the ACC gallery. I am currently working with Mud Ceramics as head of the R&D department.
