Klaus Uredat
Corbi
Modular sofa comprising 5 sections with backrests
Foam and fabric
German architect and industrial designer known primarily for the originality of his
creations, which lie somewhere between sculpture and functional objects: they are an invitation to relax.
Following the creation of the Panton chair with Vitra in 1967, Klaus Uredat took up the
concept of the moulded polyester chair and undertook research to create the Targa chair
in 1971, which likely owes its name to the Targa Florio race held in Sicily, where the
Porsche brand distinguished itself on several occasions, eventually giving this
name to one of its cars in 1965. The car’s aerodynamics and comfort are both
impressive. Produced by the German brand Horn Collection, this chair is no less iconic
today than the Corbi seating elements, first exhibited at the 1972 International
Furniture Fair in Cologne,
