Jordi Ribaudi Attribut Pair of chairs Spruce wood and Sicilian buffalo leather One-off piece Date of creation: 2022 H100 W90 D75 cm (each) The ‘Atribut’ collection explores the opposing concepts of form/appearance and object/symbol, suggesting the contradictions between the image we wish to project and who we really are. Jordi Ribaudí practises organic design in three stages: reflection, action and object. Leather, a symbolic material, is always his starting point. His creations can be considered efficient objects, as they result from minimal manipulation and waste. Jordi Ribaudí A graduate in industrial design, he founded Estudi Ribaudí in 1996, specialising in product, furniture and lighting design. As an interior designer, he collaborates with renowned fashion brands. Since 2009, he has been promoting REC.0, an innovative project aimed at showcasing architectural heritage through the temporary installation of pop-up shops in abandoned tanneries. This project led him to forge links with local tanners, to discover their work and the possibilities offered by the material. He then began to explore and experiment with leather. Finally, in 2015, he launched the TORU project, a blend of ideas and sensations transformed into objects.
